It's Time...

For the past few weeks, t he staff has been carefully reviewing the state's guidelines for baseball & softball operations and  survey feedback from many of you. As  result, we are pleased to announce that the WYBSL will be "reopening" with the commencement of registration TODAY for a Summer/Fall Ball season!
The Summer/Fall Newsletter Is Out!

Given the time constraints to plan the upcoming season as well as precautions against COVID-19, we will not be printing and/or mailing newsletters to past registrants.

You can however find it on our website where you can learn about the full program and registration details!
Online Registration

To help prevent the spread of COVID-19, we will NOT be able to offer our walk-in registration sessions. All registrations must be done via our online application

Please be sure to register by July 20 to avoid late fees and lose applicable Family Discounts.

State Guidelines

The WYBSL will do it best to follow State guidelines as published at www.ohio.gov but no system is perfect. We are asking for all parents and players to do their part as well and take personal accountability   to make these efforts successful. Key guidelines include:

  • Adhering to 6' social distancing for all spectators and players (when not in the field of play).
  • Players and coaches should, but are not required to wear face masks when not in the field of play. Face masks for spectators are strongly recommended.
  • It is recommended that players provide and use their own bat and helmet. When this is not possible the league will provide sanitizing supplies.
  • No shared team water stations or drinking stations.
  • No touch rule; no high fives, handshake lines, and other physical contact with teammates, opposing players, coaches, umpires, and fans. A "tip the cap" can be used following the game in lieu of the handshake line.

A "Hybrid" Season

This season will offer a unique blend of traditional spring and fall programs. These include:
  • Practices begin August 1st (Tee Ball 8/12)
  • Spring age divisions
  • Recent high school grads playing a final season!
  • Four year-olds in Co-ed Tee-Ball
  • Reuniting Spring 2019 teams in applicable leagues
  • Player draft process (same leagues as spring)
  • All Star Saturday in October

Please see our website and newsletter for more exciting details!
