Superintendent's Notes

Greetings Wabash and New South Conferences.

A friend of mine recently shared how God is leading him to a more Jesus dependent life.

He came to the realization that whenever there was a crisis to be addressed, a problem to be solved, an issue to be worked on, he would rush in with an answer and then, only after having exhausted himself would he ask for Jesus' help.

I think many of us are built this way. We entered into ministry with a desire to help. We are caregivers, leaders, problem solvers. And so our natural inclination is to do stuff.

We are "fix it" kind of people and our minds rarely stop.

But if we are honest, we must admit that our "fix it" mentality sometimes gets in the way of discovering a better way.
