Community Workshop: Cut Flower Gardens

Join Urban REAP on Mother’s Day weekend for this workshop to learn from REAP staff how to plant a cut flower garden, how to make an arrangement, and get some seeds to start your own! Bring someone who has been a mother to you, or come on your own to connect with the flowers around us.

Bike to Work Workshop and Lunch

Come celebrate National Bike Month as we discuss how to get more people commuting to work by bike in Waco. Floyd Colley, owner of the Brazos Bike Lounge will be our featured speaker and we will be teaming up with the MPO’s Bike and Pedestrian Work Group for a good time of discussion followed by a (free!) lunch. Lunch with the Masters: Texas Natives and Bird Photography

Come hear McLennan County Master Gardener Juan Anaya. This program will take you on a pictorial adventure of Texas native plants, wildlife, and birds. It will be informative as well as entertaining. Juan will cover tips on how to attract hummingbirds, pollinators, and other wildlife to your backyard with native plants, water features, and cover.
Sustainable Resource Practices Advisory Board Meeting

The general public is welcome to attend this monthly meeting of the citizen board that makes policy recommendations to the Waco City Council. Consider becoming a member of the board (there's currently one position open to represent District 2).
