Nationally, February is acknowledged as Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month. According to the organization Love Is Respect, 1 in 10 high school students has experienced physical abuse from a dating partner. We would like to think it doesn’t happen in our community, but the truth is that domestic violence happens everywhere.
