Waconia Basketball Association Tournament

The Waconia Basketball Association (WBA) is pleased to announce their annual boys basketball tournament for the weekend of January 4-5. These 3rd -8th grade boys will be traveling from all over the region to compete. Although concessions are available, the WBA wanted our local businesses to know that overflow traffic may spill over into our local restaurants and shops.
Next up: Girls Basketball Tournament February 8-9.
2020 Show Choir Premier Night

Kick off to the 2020 Performance Season with a preview of all four show choirs. Take in just one set or see them all. Your ticket includes one performance set (3 choir shows per set-see website for line up) and chili dinner. Dinner will be served continuously from 4:30-8:00PM.

To celebrate National Blood Donor Month, Memorial Blood Centers is partnering with Dunkin' Donuts to help spread awareness about the need for blood donations during the winter. Dunkin' will provide a voucher for a free medium hot or iced coffee to all presenting donors during January. Did you know 38% of people are eligible to give blood, yet only 7% do? Blood donors of all types, especially type O negative are urgently needed. To be eligible, you must be: in good health, 17 years or older, free of antibiotics for 24 hours (unless taken for preventive reasons), and symptom-free for at least 72 hours following a cold or flu. Please consider!

New Location...Same great show! The world's largest antique, vintage and collector snowmobile show. The feature for 2020 is "Winnipeg to St Paul I-500 and cross country racing". They will honor all terrain racers and cross-county events like the I-500, Jeep 500, ISOC 500, and Warroad 500! They will still have their trail ride, swap meet, races and more. 
Cost: $20 for all weekend (pre-register) or $15 for Saturday only & $10 for Sunday only
Children 12 and under are FREE.
Workplace Wellness Opportunity for Local Business

Carver County Public Health is currently accepting project proposals from local businesses interested in implementing wellness activities related to healthy eating, physical activity, breastfeeding support, and/or tobacco-free living. Public Health will provide technical assistance and resources to workplace partners to help identify workplace wellness opportunities and implement evidence-based strategies.
