As I sit down to write the first newsletter of 2022, the nostalgic New Year’s Eve melody “Auld Lang Syne” runs through my head. The old tune prompted me to look up the lyrics and research what the song means.

Southern Valley Alliance is excited to announce that we purchased a property in Shakopee where we will build and relocate our office. This new location is in close proximity to public transportation, county services, courts, employment opportunities, and many other community resources. Having our services centrally located, and easily accessible, will help victim-survivors begin the process of healing from the trauma they have experienced due to abuse.
