Become an Ambassador
Chamber Ambassadors represent the Waconia Chamber in welcoming new businesses to Waconia, encourage participation and involvement in the Chamber, and act as a liaison to members.

A current ambassador said after last month's Ambassador meeting:
"Through my Chamber connections, specifically Ambassadors, I have two new customers just today. So if anyone wants to know – YES the Chamber does work to connect businesses! Thanks for all you do!"

Ambassadors gather the third Thursday of the month at 8:45am-10:45am. It's a great way to make connections and build your network! If you're interested in becoming an Ambassador, email Chelsey.
A Message from the Chamber President
Lake Waconia Fireworks scheduled to go off with a bang!

by Christine Fenner
President, Waconia Chamber of Commerce
The Lake Waconia Fireworks Festival (a 501c4 non-profit operated by the Waconia Chamber of Commerce) has been fundraising and organizing the 4th of July show for decades. In collaboration with a dedicated group of longtime experienced volunteers, the show has been delivered to the community to celebrate America’s birthday. We’re thrilled to be bringing the show back for Independence Day, but it won’t come without a few obstacles.

The planning for the 2021 show began in January, and preparations began to raise $30,000 for the fireworks display. During the initial meetings lead pyrotechnic, Ryan Christianson, anticipated challenges. Fireworks from China in shipping containers in the ocean needed to pass through customs. Production in China and supply chain issues led to shortages and have caused the prices to increase. Nationwide, there has been a hike in fireworks pricing and the cost of shipping has doubled.

Luckily this year’s fireworks were purchased early, and the pyrotechnics team was able to receive the inventory for a great show.   Click here to read more...
2021-22 Waconia Chamber of Commerce Official Visitors Map
The Map is back…Just in time for the Carver County Fair!

I want to thank you in advance for your support of the 2021-22 Waconia Chamber of Commerce Map. We didn’t publish this in 2020 due to Covid-19 but we have a community need for more maps. We developed this valuable resource to offer you an efficient way to introduce your business to people who live in the community and people moving into our community.

We have had very positive feedback about the map and want to continue to make it a part of your membership benefit. We rely on member advertising to support publishing the map, so if you have not reserved your space for advertising, I encourage you to do so this week.
