Chamber Advocacy: Working with Elected Leaders to Champion Local Business
by Christine Fenner
President, Waconia Chamber of Commerce
| |
At the Chamber, advocating for our members is a key initiative. Through close connections with city, county, and state elected leaders, we work diligently to stay informed and support business-friendly initiatives, economic growth, and a thriving community.
Whether it be working locally to champion efforts to make it easier and more competitive to do business, or meeting with our state legislators to discuss policy impact on small businesses; our advocacy efforts focus on addressing real challenges faced by businesses. By engaging with our elected officials, we’re able to communicate the needs and concerns of our members, making sure that the voice of our local business community is represented in critical policy discussions.
We’re committed to being a unified voice for our members, advocating for policies that support economic growth, community development, and a business-friendly climate. Our role as advocates helps ensure that the needs of local businesses are heard on matters that impact their operations and growth. Continue reading...
