The 60th Annual Nickle Dickle Day is slated for September 18 with the Nickle Dickle Eve Street Dance on September 17. Nickle Dickle Day is the largest fundraiser of the year for the Waconia Chamber. There is still time for you to support this community festival!

Nickle Dickle Day Celebrates 60 Years!

The Waconia Chamber of Commerce’s Nickle Dickle Day turns 60! What originally began as an end-of-the-summer closeout shopping day has turned into Waconia’s largest celebration (and still includes shopping deals). You won’t want to miss all that the day has to offer!
Medallion Hunt - This is the 27th Annual Medallion Hunt! The winner of this year’s hunt will be announced at the Gazebo in City Square Park at noon.
Street Dance - Come see the band IV Play perform for the 3rd Annual Street Dance on Nickle Dickle Eve: Friday, September 17! Pick up your tickets at Mackenthun’s, WBC, or the Chamber office. Commemorative 60th Annual Nickle Dickle Day hats and can koozies will also be available.

The Waconia Chamber Ambassadors performed a ribbon cutting with the Waconia Baseball Association to celebrate the new deck at Waconia Lions Field! The deck was fully funded with donations from the Waconia Lions.
Along with Chaska and Hamburg, Waconia is hosting the Minnesota State Amateur Baseball Tournament. The tournament started August 20 and wraps up this weekend with the championship on September 6.

On behalf of Waconia, Mayer, Norwood Young America, and Cologne fire departments, we are inviting fire departments, fire fighters, EMS, Police & 1st Responders to join our September 11th, 20th Anniversary Remembrance Celebration. This will be a non-truck event, followed by a walking parade to the Waconia Fire Station from City Square Park. Class A or Department Uniforms requested, along with department flags and stands.
Public Ceremony
The public is welcomed to join at 3:30PM for a ceremony and community meal at Waconia Fire Station. **The ceremony at City Square Park is not open to the public.**

Mystic Fortress Games Celebrates Two Years

Join us as we celebrate our second anniversary at City Square Park in Waconia, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 14th. We'll enjoy an evening connecting with you, our customers. We will announce our grand prize winner for the coming year (you know, the person who gets the 14% off discount card that's good until the eve of our next anniversary), we'll share some updates about our t-shirt contest and growth plans, and there will be cake!
While there are some picnic tables at the park, consider bringing chairs or a picnic blanket if you'd like to hang out a while. I think there's a slight chance we might have some games available to play

September Chamber Luncheon Canceled
|
Due to rising COVID-19 numbers and to protect the safety of the students, the September Luncheon scheduled to be indoors at Crown College is canceled.
However, all chamber members are invited to join us on October 28 at 10AM when the Chamber Ambassadors will perform an outdoor ribbon cutting on Crown College’s new patio space and to meet the new Crown College President, Dr. Andrew Denton.
