Mark Your Calendars and Join Us for the Furry Skurry 5K!

May will be here before you know it! Mark your calendars now and sign up to take advantage of our Early Bird Pricing for the Furry Skurry 5K by visiting www.hsdayton.org/FS. Furry Skurry will take place on Saturday, May 17th from 8 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at St. Leonard in Centerville. Along with the race, we have lots of other great things planned including an interactive animal zone with Learning Tree Farm, VIPP Amenities including an open bar, omelet station and more, dog agility demonstrations, food trucks, a 50/50 raffle, shopping, and so much more! Bring out your furry friends and your family and enjoy a day of fun with us!

Cheer on our Local Pups During the Puppy Bowl

The Puppy Bowl is almost here! This year, three of our very own pups will battle it out to see who will bring home the glory for Dayton. Cheer on Pumpkin and Zinnia with Team Fluff or Jolene with Team Ruff on Sunday, February 9th at 2 p.m. The Puppy Bowl can be viewed on Animal Planet, Discovery, TBS, truTV, Discovery+ or Max.

Dayton Humane & Co. Prepares for Opening by Accepting Donations

We are so excited to share with you all that Dayton Humane & Co will soon be opened at Cross Pointe Shopping Center in Centerville. This resale boutique will provide you with a high-end shopping experience with thrift store pricing and all money raised will go to help the animals at our shelter!

Although our store is still under construction, we are already accepting donations to start filling the shelves! We are accepting all of your new and gently used items now at the store (101 E. Alex Bell Road in the Cross Pointe Shopping Center) on Tuesdays and Thursdays between 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.. A Fantastic Start to 2025

It is hard to believe it is already February, but thanks to all of you 2025 kicked off great! In just January, we have already had 157 adoptions! This includes 107 cats, 40 dogs, 6 rabbits, 2 ferrets, 1 guinea pig and 1 rooster! We are beyond grateful for all of you who opened your hearts and welcomed in a new family member! If you are looking for a pet, don't despair, we still have a shelter filled with amazing animals all looking for that family to call their own!
