We kicked off the month with a Very Smart Brotha - Panama Jackson, who hosted the first of a monthly series "Conversate with P" featuring Grap Luva. Stay tuned for more information on the next event happening May 22.
Our Second Sunday Jazz series had our largest attendance to date . Guests enjoyed the music of Jackie McLean performed by the Terry Kroger Quintet for free in our lounge. This events takes place every second Sunday and is a partnership between Anacostia Arts Center and East River Jazz.
J.A.M. A dance Spectacular performed music and dance for four sold out shows! They will be back in October and we can't wait.
Photographer Victoria Ford, opened her first solo exhibit Sneak Shot in out Blank Space gallery. Victoria has been able to capture some amazing shots of Jay Z Erykah Badu, the Roots and more. The photographs will be on display until April 29th.
Although the weather cut the festival short in. the park, visitors were still able to enjoy live music at We Act Radio, craft activities for kids at Mama's Pizza Kitchen, live painting in Turning Natiural and our annual Spring event Flower Power inside the Anacostia Arts Center.
