Coffee & Contacts
Labor Day has come and gone, but is that so bad? The upside: drinking your pumpkin spice latte will only become more acceptable. And you know what goes best with a PSL? Networking, of course! Bring yours and join us next Tuesday for our September Virtual Coffee & Contacts.

Coffee & Contacts is a chance to build your network by introducing yourself to other Chamber members and sharing your elevator pitch.

Don't forget to bring your favorite coffee cup/mug, because one lucky participant will walk away with a prize. Think you have just the mug? Think again. We've had some next-level mugs!

  • Jim Howard from Merrill Lynch won in May with a moose mug.
  • Coy Renick from AREVO Group, Inc. won in June with a golfer mug.
  • Daniel Gunn from AFC Urgent Care won in July with a cow mug

Coffee & Contacts is a members-only event. It's complimentary to attend, but advance registration is required. Please RSVP by midnight on Sunday, September 13.

Women of the Chamber 👩
This year has been a lot. We've faced the COVID-19 health crisis, historic job losses, protests highlighting social injustice, and somehow we've still got three months left. It's natural to feel stressed about it all.

Before your stress turns into crisis fatigue, we'd like to put the spotlight on self-care. Join us, and Nancy Howell Agee, President and CEO of Carilion Clinic, at our third Women of the Chamber event of 2020.

On September 29, Nancy will lead a timely discussion on the unique challenges women face and why taking care of ourselves now is more important than ever.

When: Tuesday, September 29, 2020
Login: 11:45 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Program: 12:00 - 1:00 p.m.
Location: Virtual on Zoom
Cost: $10/member
Special thanks to our sponsor:

Kick-Off is Soon!
Last month, we announced preparations for our inaugural Total Resource Campaign (or TRC). Bart Wilner, President of Entre Computer Center, has been named the chair of this year's endeavor.

Did you miss the announcement? If so, you're probably wondering what a Total Resource Campaign is all about. Let's catch you up to speed:

The Roanoke Regional Chamber's Total Resource Campaign is a grassroots marketing initiative designed to support our mission of improving our community and economy by maximizing the business climate of the current generation for future generations.

Eric recorded a brief video answering what is probably the biggest question on your mind: how can the TRC help your business? Take a look.

As we continue to move closer to the campaign kick-off, we're pleased to announce our TRC Vice-Chairs:

  • Kevin Meade – Virginia Furniture Market
  • Jackie Archer – Blue Ridge Beverage
  • Ken Randolph – Rockydale Quarries
  • Chris Head – Home Instead Senior Care
  • William Farrell – Berglund Automotive

There will be more TRC news soon. Stay tuned!
