THURSDAY'S INSPIRATION

But those who entwine their hearts with YAHWEH will experience divine strength. They will rise up on soaring wings and fly like eagles, run their races without growing weary, and walk through life without giving up. Isa. 40:31 TPT

Wait/Weight training...

I have been in the book of 1 Chronicles lately and my sons have been lovingly watching the animated movie David. Typically when I see a trend in our home, I know God is speaking.

In the midst of King Saul's pride and downfall, the young shepherd is chosen and anointed as God's king for Israel. The weight of the anointing did not seem to push David from the wait of becoming. I can't say that God is speaking to any particular group of people today; however, I can say don't become frustrated while you're waiting for the fulfillment of the promise(s).

David had to learn how to lead people. He had to learn how to bear up under the pressure of their heartaches and hardships. He had to learn how to take and leave the people in the hands of God. That didn't come by osmosis, that took experience. The cave of Adullam required humility and full reliance on God. The weight of their cares could have broken David, yet their weight and the wait built his trust and faith in God.

Whatever the weight/wait training that is happening, right now, it's all to build you. In the natural, weight training builds muscle mass and burns excess fat --- the thing that slows us down. Weight training teaches our bodies how to be torn, repaired, and resilient. If that's happening to us physically, please know God uses the weight [of His glory] to do the same spiritually! We are called, chosen, and anointed. Now He has to use the wait to make us more resilient, more faith-filled, and more trusting of His plan. Will we believe God, even when the caves are dark and seemingly never ending?

The Body of Christ is in weight/wait training. The end-time Church cannot buckle under the pressures of culture-harassment, economical climate changes, or anything else in the atmosphere. We have to allow the weight of God's glory and the lessons of waiting to strengthen our faith, our hope, and our trust in Jesus. The One who chose us and promised us will come through! Trust the weight/wait is making us resilient and built to stand.

Bear up! Build up!

Thursday Morning Prayer/Thursday's Inspiration is a networking tool where someone can join you in prayer for any of your life's challenges. In addition, a weekly exhortation will come forth to stimulate your mind in the things of Christ. You may respond with a specific prayer request or just the reply of your name. Requests need to be returned by Wednesday, if at all possible. Remember you are your Brother's and Sister's keeper. It is your responsibility to encourage, pray for, and influence your fellow man to greater heights. For no man is left behind; lest by [his] choice.
