Thinking about a biotech/engineering-focused graduate degree?

One thing that I routinely hear from our alumni is that Wake Forest helped them prepare for a fulfilling, exciting, and meaningful career. In this email, our 1st in a 6-part series, I'd like to introduce you to 4 of our biomedical programs focused on degree programs that have a biotechnology or engineering focus. These programs feed into a variety of career possibilities: medical physicist, biotechnologist, biomedical engineer, research associate, or staff scientist. Whichever your preference, our goal is simple, offer a biomedical graduate degree that sets you up for a long and productive career. Medical Physics (MS and PhD)

Fall '24 MS Application Deadline: 3/1/24

Our graduate program in Medical Physics provides a combination of training experiences to prepare graduates to practice as medical physicists, critical members of the oncology care team. Are you majoring in physics, math, computer science, or engineering and looking for a degree that will train you for a career in healthcare? Consider medical physics!

Translational Biotechnology (MS)

Fall '24 Application Deadline: 3/1/24

Our newest graduate program! Preparing the next generation of STEM and business leaders needed to move new regenerative medicine therapies, including organoids, from the laboratory to the clinic. Two pathways are available, a research pathway - full-time study with a thesis, and a business pathway - part-time study with a capstone project, designed to meet the needs of tomorrow's biotechnology professional.

Biomedical Engineering (MS and PhD)

Fall '24 Application Deadline: 1/5/24

The Virginia Tech – Wake Forest University School of Biomedical Engineering and Sciences (SBES) is a unique multidisciplinary program that bridges the biomedical sciences, biomedical engineering, and real-world applications to enhance the quality of life. Our world-class students and faculty members are innovating across a continuum of systems — from natural to engineered to medical.

Fall '24 Application Deadline: 6/1/24

A flexible program designed to improve students’ academic foundation in the biomedical sciences in preparation for doctoral study or a biotechnology industry career. Two pathways are available, a thesis pathway for those wishing to continue into a PhD program, and an industry research internship pathway ideal for those wishing to transition straight into an industry position.
