New Intuition-9 Sensor Options

In order to help customers maximize their available sensor inputs with the Intuition-9, Walchem has modified the model codes to include the pH and ORP sensors with the 4-20 mA transmitter housings. The same characters that we use for the Intuition-6 are now also available in the Intuition-9!

Intuition Controllers Can Provide More Power!

Since the Intuition controllers are in slightly larger enclosures and have a slightly different power supply than their W600/900 counterparts, we had engineering re-evaluate how much power they can supply to 3-wire and 4-wire analog input devices without causing the inside to overheat.

The good news is that we were able to increase the available power per channel from 1.5 watts to 2.0 watts and increase the total power consumption per controller as well.

With the Intuition-6 you can go as high as 8 watts total, if the maximum ambient temperature is below 30 °C/86 °F, down to 2 watts total at 50 °C/122 °F.

The specifications in the manuals and brochures have been modified and are posted online. Refer to these documents for details.

New High Temperature Conductivity Sensor

Walchem is pleased to announce that we can now offer a moderately priced electrodeless conductivity sensor that has been tested up to 100 °C/212 °F with excellent results! Fabricated from glass filled polypropylene, it can handle a wide range of chemicals.

A 2 inch CPVC tee is available for inline applications.

The conductivity sensor brochure and price list have been modified and are available online.

Price Lists Have Been Updated

The controller and sensor option price books as well as the Intuition-6 and Intuition-9 price calculators have been updated!

The key changes are:

All obsolete W400 spare parts (all except for copper/nickel controllers)

Some parts prices and fixed some errors in discount code

W100 Software Upgrade Version 4.23

Walchem posted a new software upgrade, for the W100 product line only, that fixes a problem with user configuration file import/export which was introduced in version 4.21.

Since version 4.21 was necessary to support a new processor variant (and 4.21 is already on any board that contains the new variant), there is no reason for anyone to upgrade from version 4.17 to version 4.21. If they have already done so, and now have a problem with the config file function, they need to go to 4.23.
