The Waldorf Lutheran College Foundation is the non-profit entity that can receive donations and gifts to be utilized for funding student scholarships, supporting the campus ministry program on campus, and supporting our alumni.

The foundation has endowed scholarship opportunities where a donor can establish a scholarship in the name of a loved one, friend, or in their own name. The minimum amount to establish an endowed scholarship is $25,000. The annual scholarship awarded on that endowment is based on the value/interest earned by the fund. Endowed scholarships are awarded as long as the account bears value/interest.

The foundation also has restricted scholarship opportunities where a donor can establish a scholarship again the name of a loved one, friend, or in their own name. The minimum amount preferred to establish a restricted scholarship is $1,000. The annual scholarship awarded is the annual amount funded to the account. Restricted scholarships can be funded for one year or multiple years depending on the donor’s preference.

You can also give your gift/donation to the foundation and state it is for ‘unrestricted’ use if you don’t have a preference of a scholarship fund to give to. You can designate your gift/donation for campus ministry or supporting alumni. Every penny matters and makes a difference in the lives of the students at Waldorf University and the alumni of Waldorf. Make sure to plan your gift/donation for #GivingTuesday on November 30th and help the Waldorf Lutheran College Foundation help make students educational goals a reality!
Alumni Board Spotlight - Lindsay (Rummel) Dalrymple '05
1. Degree/Major/Minor: BS Music Education

2.  Current Occupation: Executive Director, NIACC Performing Arts & Leadership Series

3.  What made you want to be part of the Alumni Board? During Covid a group of us reconnected through zoom happy hours through our shared choir experiences. Around the same time Mike Cole reached out to me about an opening. Mike and I went to the same high school and church. (For being one of the smallest schools left in Iowa, it's amazing to me how many of us went to Waldorf. I really think Pastor Erv should have been on the Waldorf payroll for referring so many students!) I started to reflect on how much connecting with my college classmates had really helped me during the COVID shutdowns, and I wanted to see if there was a way I could help Waldorf intentionally continue serving alumni in a further reaching virtual capacity.

4.  Favorite Waldorf memory? Oh that's tough! I really don't think there was ever a dull moment at Waldorf. My absolute favorite memories come from singing "Beautiful Savior" with the choir and alumni (sweaty hands and all) and singing "May the Mind of Christ My Savior" with the band. We had that as our hymn at our wedding, actually. Also, every time Nancy Farndale would address the choir, she's amazing.

5. Advice you would give to your college self? Slow down, savor these moments. Get more 2 AM cappuccinos with friends. Whatever things you think you know for certain, there are usually about five other directions you might end up going anyway.

6. Any Fun Facts/Accomplishments about yourself you wish to include: Proud mom of three beautiful kiddos Elanora (4) Liam & Grayson (4 months). I loved teaching vocal music and I have truly found my vocation in presenting national tours.
