Greetings!
Dogs. Prizes. Treats. What more can you ask for on a beautiful September Saturday in Vermont?
This is the 24th year of our Walk for Animals community fundraiser event, and we're getting so excited!
On September 12 from 9:30-11:30, the Brattleboro Town Common turns into a dog-a-palooza. Last year 50 dogs and their humans converged for the 1.3 mile walk around town, followed by the peanut butter licking contest and the musical sit contest, and snacks for everyone.
This year, we hope to replicate the same amazing vibe, but we need your help!
ALL THE WAYS TO HELP:
1) Register, and attend the walk in person–either as an individual, or with others.
2) Register as a virtual supporter if you cannot walk in-person but still want to participate.
3) Fundraise as an individual or with others.
4) If you are a business owner, sponsor the Walk and/or donate gift cards for prizes.
5) Tell everyone you know about it and encourage them to participate however they can.
Here's the schedule this year:
9:15-Registration and drop off donations
10:00-Walk begins
10:30-Human and dog snacks available
10:45-Peanut Butter Licking contest
11:00-Musical Sit contest
11:05-Winners announced (top 3 fundraisers, and raffle prize for all registrants)
11:20-50/50 raffle winner announced
11:30-Event concludes
Events like this one help cover the cost of medical treatment and supplies, food, treats, and everything else we need to care for the thousands of animals we have the privilege of helping each year.
Keeping animals safe and healthy takes all of us, and we're so grateful for our community. Thank you!
