Join the Diabetic Kitchen and the members of the Lanexang Village at the first Iberia Parish International 5K Walk/Run for a Cure of Diabetes and Alzheimer Awareness.
The event will be held on Saturday, April 8, 2017, at the Lanexang Village in Coteau, La., a Lao community, and will begin at 7913 Champa Ave.
The Diabetic Kitchen and Lanexang Village have come together to promote health and wellness as both groups noticed an alarming increase of diabetes in their respective communities. The groups have partnered and formed an information, education and hope-filled outreach pocket of help.
Schedule of Events:
Registration - 7 a.m.
Prayer and Warm-up - 8:15 a.m.
Walk - 8:30 a.m.
Cost:
Adults 18+ - $15
Youth 12 - 18 Years Old - $10
Teams of Five - $40
Youth 11 Years and Younger - Free
