Walk for the Wild focuses on people spending time outside. We want people to get outdoors and move a distance of 5K in nature on behalf of national wildlife refuges starting on October 9, 2021 through October 16, 2021.
Humans spend 95% of their time indoors although a growing body of evidence shows that spending time in nature promotes mental and physical well-being. National wildlife refuges are some of the best places to spend time in nature helping both wildlife AND people thrive.
Walk for the Wild @ Laguna Atascosa!
When you register for Walk for the Wild, we would love for you to name Laguna Atascosa as your refuge.
And, you don't have to walk/run/stroll/roll at the refuge! Just get active.
If you do decide to participate at the refuge, here is a map with information about the trails at the refuge. Trail Information
