Ohio, the Buckeye State
, became the 17th state in the Union in 1803. Ohio is an industrial state. It is the second largest US producer of automobiles, behind Michigan. Ohio has the nation’s tenth largest highway system and claims to be a one day’s drive from 50% of the nation’s population. Its northern border is the Lake Erie shoreline and its southern border is defined by the Ohio river
