Our Progress So Far

You are amazing! So efforts are so outstanding that we now have the opportunity to spend some time in each of the northern countries of Africa as we make our way to Jerusalem.

This week after our tour in Casablanca, we will explore the rest of the country.

Week 4 Travelogue - Morocco

As mentioned last week, the capital of Morocco is Rabat. The name Morocco means “the place where the sun sets” in Arabic. Here are some highlights about Morocco:

Government: The state of Morocco is a constitutional monarchy with an elected parliament. The current king is Mohammed VI. Morocco is a member of the Arab League, the Union for the Mediterranean and the African Union.

Climate: Is very similar to southern California with lush forests in the northern and central mountain areas giving way to drier conditions and deserts in the southeast.

Religion: 99% Muslim; Sunnis form the majority at 67% but 30% are non-denominational Muslims. Christians are thought to be about 1% of the population or approximately 380,000.
