Join us in Downtown New London this Sunday, April 28!

The 12th Annual Walk to End Homelessness kicks off with festivities on Golden Street at 12:00. The Walk starts at 1:00*. Save time -- register online.

Come early for music, a non-profit fair, shopping and food!


Breakfast/lunch: Many restaurants open as early as 7:00 or 8:00.

Dixieland Band: The East Coast Ramblers will get us swinging, starting at 12:15 on Golden Street.

Nonprofit Fair: Learn about the good work being done by local non-profits and see how you can help. Starts at noon on Golden Street.

Shop at Homeward Bound Treasures: shop at our thrift store,Homeward Bound and get 20% of your purchase on the day of the walk.

Art exhibit: View artwork HHC's shelter guests created during workshops led by , folks from the Florence Griswold Museum.

*In the event of heavy rain, the walk will start from St. James Episcopal Church at 75 Federal St. Check our website and Facebook for updates.
Walk Route

The 1.8-mile route will take you to a variety of New London's historic and community landmarks.

You'll have a walk program. Get it stamped at 8 stops and take in dance, art, music, informational displays and interactive activities.

Along the route, hear performances from the Raging Grannies, Sorry Mom, Mixed Blessings, Vox Cameli and. Marco Anthony Fabretti.

The Walk ends at the Parade Plaza with free treats, music by DJ James O'Grady and performances by Connecticut College dancers and choreographers Bempa Ashia and Nifemi Olugbemiga


Walk with Taj and Allen.Both were shelter guests at HHC, and both overcame a great deal of adversity in order to transition from homelessness to permanent housing.

Taj and Allen will be carrying the HHC banner and leading the Annual Walk to End Homelessness.

Walk to save lives. Walk to show that you are part of a community that cares. Walk because you believe that everyone should have a place to call home.
