Regent students observed Positive Education Day with inspiration, energy and smiles. Guest speakers Adam Eddine and Sujith Varghese shared their amazing journeys with those present. Meanwhile, EYFS and Primary students had a blast on the pitch during a Fitness and Wellbeing challenge for the Dubai Fitness Challenge. Magellanic Penguins See an Increase in Population
Good news on the conservation front! The near-threatened population of Magellanic penguins, iconic to coastal Patagonia, has seen a drastic increase in population. About 1 million pairs of these penguins have been breeding off the Argentine coast. This comes after a devastating decrease in the population of 40,000 Magellanic penguins dying per year due to pollution at sea. Nevertheless, we’re all happy to see the endangered species thriving again! Well done to the conservationists!

UAE Set for 54th Eid Al Etihad
Anticipation is rising for the UAE’s 54th Eid Al Etihad, marking 54 years of unity and progress. The main National Day celebration will take place on Tuesday, December 2, with public holidays set for December 2–3, with a possibility of an extended break depending on the calendar. Following last year’s ceremony at Jebel Hafeet, Al Ain, this year’s event promises similar grandeur, featuring fireworks, drone shows, cultural performances, patriotic displays, and festive zones across the emirates.

The US, China, and other partners all want bases at the south pole, where ice and minerals are limited. These resources support water, fuel and long-term settlement, so competition is strong.
