OSHA's recently issued final rule on respirable crystalline silica received both criticism and support during a hearing convened by the House Workforce Protections Subcommittee. S/he will also demonstrates in-depth knowledge, understanding and application of environment, health and safety and workers' compensation laws and regulations and translates them into actionable processes, programs and practices and drive the understanding and implementation of the Cardinal Health EH&S management system. Requires a B.S. degree in technical discipline (occupational safety, industrial hygiene, environmental science or engineering or equivalent) but a Master's degree in science or engineering is preferred. CSP/CIH preferred. A minimum of 10 years direct EH&S experience implementing and managing proven EH&S programs and solutions in a multi-facility environment is required.

The EHS Director also ensures all EHS processes and procedures are implemented and standardized across our manufacturing network by working with Engineering to participate in facilities and equipment design. A Bachelor's degree in environment, safety, business, engineering, or equivalent field (advanced degree preferred) along with 10+ years of leadership experience in a manufacturing organization, with a mix of manufacturing, safety and/ or engineering assignments.
