Accepting Applications for the 2019 - 2020 Season

PROGRAM KICKS OFF SEPTEMBER 25, ONLY A FEW SPOTS REMAIN

Sponsored by the  Walnut Creek Chamber of Commerce Leadership Contra Costa sm (LCC), the Bay Area's premier countywide leadership program, accepts 28-32 individuals from throughout the county with diverse backgrounds to participate in the program. LCC is geared to people who want to make a difference in the communities in which they live and work.  
For more than 30 years Leadership Contra Costasm has been helping identify and prepare community leaders. With an alumni roster of more than 800 graduates, including Mayor of Walnut Creek Cindy Silva, former Mayors Loella Haskew, Justin Wedel, and Kathy Hicks, former Assemblywoman Lynne Leach, former Concord Mayor, Lou Rosas; Martinez Mayor Rob Schroder; and Ret. Superior Court Judge Harlan Grossan, this program has proven to be an asset to the community and society.

With more than 50 projects to choose from, Community Service Day 2019 offers something for all ages, all interests, and all skill levels. Artful Endeavors
Walnut Creek Downtown is proud to announce a new musical art project called, "Painted Pianos!" Eight pianos will be donated by Steinway Piano Gallery and hand-painted by local artists on site, in downtown Walnut Creek and the Center for Community Arts' Shadelands campus courtyard.  The pianos will be strategically placed for the public to play September 9-October 18. Live performances by professionals and/or special guests appearances will take place every Tuesday (September 10, 17, 24 & October 1, 8, 15) from 12-1pm at three locations: 1655 N. Main St., 1501 Locust St., and 1328 N. Main St. The project goal is to bring community members together to create musical memories in Downtown Walnut Creek!

The  Lesher Center for the Arts  is proud to be the cornerstone of Downtown Walnut Creek's premiere  Arts District !  Bordered by Locust Street, Bonanza Street, California Boulevard and Civic Drive, the  Arts District  is home to delicious restaurants and spectacular retail.  Learn how you can become an Arts District Partner, click here & visit  www.lesherartscenter.org
