In Appreciation

The Chamber Education Committee hosted their Teacher Appreciation Reception on Friday, May 3 at the Walnut Creek Historical Society's Shadelands Ranch Museum. Approximately 70 teachers from schools all over Walnut Creek joined us  in the beautiful gardens of the museum for a delicious spread with food from 1515 Restaurant & Lounge, wine from Wine Thieves, craft brews from Calicraft Brewing Co. (winner of the 2018 UXL Business of the Year Award) and dessert from Nothing Bundt Cakes. The event was attended by Chamber Board Chair Jim Fidelibus and Walnut Creek Mayor Cindy Silva, who each took a few minutes to express their thanks to the teachers. Thank you to everyone who came and to the Education Committee for all their hard work putting the event together. And of course, a big thank you to all the teachers-the work you do is invaluable and we appreciate you!  Thank you to all the wonderful local businesses that donated to our Teacher Appreciation Reception!
