PTA FIELD DAY: MAY 24
The start of May signals to many the coming summer.

But here at PTA, May signals the coming of our big end-of-the-year school-wide celebration …

🎉 FIELD DAY! 🎉

It’s our last hurrah together for the year and a perfect way to spend a beautiful spring day – huffing and puffing, battling our allergies, but also laughing, competing, and making memories.

*If a time slot is full and you would still like to join the festivities, please come! The kids could always use more cheerleaders and we can swap out volunteers, if you'd like to help. The more the merrier!*

**Each class will also need one parent to bring frozen popsicles to school that day. Look out for an email from your room parent to coordinate.**

PTA Sister School Penny Wars
The Disney Community has given generously this year in order to help provide for students at our Sister School, Fremont Elementary in Antioch.

This year we are excited to announce that the winner of the Penny Wars were the KINDERGARTEN CLASSES ! Thank you everyone for your participation. All of the money raised will be used to buy students uniforms for the upcoming school year. Thank you so much!

Parenting Ed: Challenging Behaviors
For its May meeting, The Tri-Valley Dyslexia Support Group is joining the San Ramon Valley Council of PTAs for a special presentation:
Helping Behaviorally Challenging Students and
While You're At It, All the Others

Thursday, May 9, 4:00 – 5:00pm
California High School Theater
9870 Broadmoor Dr., San Ramon, CA 94582

Dr. Ross Greene's book, Lost and Found addresses how we can all work together to address challenging student behavior. The mission is to understand and help behaviorally challenging students in ways that are non-punitive, non-adversarial, skill building, relationship enhancing, collaborative, proactive, and most important helpful.

"Dealing with challenging behaviors? The first goal is to alter your lenses, to understand that challenging behavior is the result of lagging skills. The second is to start solving problems together and teach those skills. Lost and Found is a must read." — Michelle Garcia Winner, Founder of Social Thinking

The event is free to attend. Please register here!
