There are two sections of seats available: General Admission for $8 ($4 per ticket will return to WHS Athletics) and the Home Run Porch for $24 ($10 will return to WHS Athletics). We have a number of fun things planned for the Walton community, including Kids Run the Bases for all the Braves fans that are 14 years or younger. From Administration
Student Drop off & Pick Up Reminders:   For the safety of students, faculty, and visitors, this is a reminder that students should not be dropped off or picked up in the parking lot until the car reaches the front doors.  Also, the homeowners in the Princeton West Neighborhood have complained about student drop off and pickups on Old College Way.   They ask that parents only drop off and pick up on school property, and follow the no parking or stopping signs posted in their neighborhood.

Free Shuttle Buses to Football Game on September 1st:   Because of construction at Pope High School, there will be fewer than 200 parking spaces on campus for the football game on Friday, September 1st. In addition, parking in the neighborhoods near the school often results in a parking ticket on Friday nights. To help you get to the game, we will run free shuttle buses before and after the game. They will depart from the front entrance of the school building from 6:00 p.m. until game time, then return trips will start at an appropriate time later in the game until the last rider has made it back to Walton. See everyone at the game!

Legislation and Advocacy
Resolutions Approved at NPTA Convention: Part of the business conducted each summer at the National PTA Convention is to approve resolutions, which typically come from a local advocate and school and work their way through the system, with vetting done. The two resolutions approved at the 2017 Convention are the  Resolution on Healthy Sleep for Adolescents and an amendment to the  Resolution on the Sale, Resale and Destruction of Firearms (two additional Resolved clauses were added). Both of these speak to issues that can impact the health, safety and well-being of our children.

Each year, the Cobb County Board of Education develops its legislative priorities. To see the 2017 list, click  HERE.  This guides the work of the board and communications with elected officials, Dept. Of Education staff and employees.
