Arlo, one of Walton Intermediate's many outstanding students, took 1st place at the California State Competition of the National Civics Bee last Saturday at the Ronald Reagan Library! Arlo will now proudly represent the state of California at the National Competition hosted by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce in Washington, D.C. on November 9-10!

GGUSD Launches Family Helpline to Support School Communities

GGUSD has launched a new Family Helpline designed to support our school community during the summer months.

We have heard from many families that recent immigration enforcement actions are creating extreme hardship and raising fear in the community. We want our families to know: GGUSD is here for you.

All year, we have distributed information, hosted valuable workshops at our Family Resource Centers, and provided resources to help families safeguard their loved ones. During the summer while our Family Resource Centers are closed, the Family Helpline (714-663-6257) will be staffed with bilingual (Spanish and Vietnamese) school community liaisons who can offer information, guidance and access to trusted organizations, social services, legal and food resources and emotional support for you and your families.

Families can contact the Helpline from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, except for holidays for support in English, Spanish and Vietnamese. Support in Arabic and Korean is available upon request.
