Message from the Principal

Dear Wamogo Families and Friends,

When I retired last June, I never envisioned I would be working again and so soon for another school district. However, I was offered an opportunity to work at Wamogo and I am glad I accepted it. It has been my pleasure to work with the staff and students at Wamogo during this past school year. You are undoubtedly proud of the great reputation your school has in educational circles and are to be congratulated for the support you give its programs. The amount of pride the students demonstrate on a daily basis both in academics and at co-curricular activities is heartwarming to see. I will miss the day-to-day operations of a secondary school environment, but I honestly think I will finally enjoy retirement--well maybe. Nevertheless, thank you for being so welcoming to a newcomer this year!
Have a great summer.

Graduation Reminders

The last day to request extra graduation tickets is June 13.
Each graduate will be allotted seven tickets for guests - five auditorium tickets (four lower-level and one upper-level).  Graduates will also receive two additional tickets for the overflow rooms where graduation will be streamed live. Through a lottery, an overflow ticket may become an upper- level auditorium ticket.  Please contact Mrs. Yarrish in the main office by June 13, should you wish to participate in the lottery and if you are in need of handicap seating.  If your family will not need all seven tickets, we kindly request that you notify the main office so that they can be distributed to students who request additional tickets. If your family would like to request additional tickets, which may be used in the overflow rooms, students can sign up in the main office. Be sure to specify the number of additional tickets you are requesting.

Additional tickets will be distributed in the order that students have signed up for them on the request list.  Each student on the list will receive one additional ticket.  If there are more tickets available, then we will distribute a second ticket to everyone on the list, and so on, until they are gone.  Student names will be removed from the list after their request has been fulfilled.

Obligations -   All obligations such as school owned books, chromebooks, uniforms, exam fees, etc. that students owe to Wamogo must be cleared prior to students receiving their cap, gown, and tickets. Obligation letters were sent home in December, April, and handed directly to seniors on May 18 during class meetings.
Caps, gowns, and graduation tickets cannot be distributed to students with outstanding obligations.
Graduation Rehearsals

Graduation Rehearsal 1 - June 20, 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Graduation Rehearsal 2 - June 21,  7:30 a.m., Senior Breakfast
                                                    8:30 a.m., Rehearsal (until perfected)

Caps, gowns, and graduation tickets will be distributed upon the completion of the second graduation rehearsal on June 21.
Please note that caps, gowns, and graduation tickets cannot be distributed to students with outstanding obligations.

Both rehearsals are mandatory.  It is expected that students clear their calendars to attend.

New this year!  Students in grades 7 through 11 are  not required to turn in their chromebooks for the summer. The 2017/2018 fee will be due in September.  An updated user agreement form must be completed when payment is submitted in September. Forms will be available on the Wamogo website and in the main office. Parents that have already paid for the 2017/2018 school year will not be charged again.

2017 Yearbook - ACROPOLIS
The yearbook staff wrapped up a successful year with book distribution on Thursday. This year's publication, "New Additions, Old Traditions," features a unique cover design that used a burnishing process on a matt finish background with each senior listed on the back. The pages are filled with magazine style layouts and high quality photographs that cover the many events and milestones of the student body.  The staff includes seniors Alexandra Scatena, Sara Slaiby and Rachelle Talbot; juniors Kasey Ackerman, Jacob Beausoleil and Morgan Betti; sophomores Jackie Weik - who also led as editor in chief, Meghan Beeman, Michaela McNutt, Olivia Norris, Chelsea Rimbach and Marina Vlasto. The students are proud of their finished product and look forward to many returning staff members to build on their design and photography skills next year.
