To help reduce stress on your lawn this summer, raise the height on your lawn mower to  3 or 3.5 inches.

Higher mowing heights will help the grass produce longer roots which, in turn, will help the lawn better withstand periods of drought.  Mow the lawn frequently and do not cut off more than 1/3 of the leaf blade at one time.  Be sure that your lawn mower blades are sharp to help prevent shredding the grass blades.
