What is NAD?
NAD stands for nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide, a coenzyme found in every living cell. It plays a central role in metabolism by helping turn nutrients into energy. Specifically, NAD shuttles electrons during cellular respiration, which fuels ATP production — the body’s main energy currency.
Why is it important?
🔷Energy Production: NAD is essential in the mitochondrial electron
transport chain, driving ATP synthesis and keeping cells functioning.
🔷 DNA Repair: It activates enzymes like PARPs that repair damaged
DNA, which is critical for healthy aging.
🔷 Cell Signaling: NAD is a key regulator for sirtuins, proteins that
control ,stress resistance, inflammation, and longevity pathways.
🔷 Brain Function: NAD supports neurotransmitter balance and
mitochondrial health in neurons, influencing focus, memory, and
cognition.
🔷 Aging & Disease: NAD levels decline naturally with age, and low NAD
is linked to fatigue, neurodegenerative disease, metabolic
dysfunction and faster cellular aging.
By restoring NAD levels (through IV or shots), cells can function more efficiently, repair damage more effectively, and maintain resilience — all of which are vital for energy, brain health, and long-term wellness.
