In ATR’s first-ever partnership with a community college,
Bristol Community College in New Bedford is the first community college to come into the CBI program.
Bristol’s collaboration signifies a new and very exciting chapter for CBI, by including an institution of higher learning into our menu of options for job training. Bristol is the pioneer in this effort and we are now working with 2 other community colleges to bring them into our network as well.
Bristol is offering an
program which covers an introduction to Microsoft Office and an overview of executive office procedures. This program was specially customized for ATR participants; it is non-credit, with classes every day, collapsed into a shorter period than the typical semester, and offers the ATR participants extra support and guidance while enrolled. In addition, completion of this job training program will position graduates to matriculate in the college for a degree, with up to 23 credits that can be applied to Bristol’s Credit for Prior Learning (CPL) initiative.
