Winter weather updates
Ole Man Winter continues to blow. Stay tuned in to Realm, Facebook, and our website in case we need to make any changes to how we gather.
We want your input! Congregational Update & Conversation this Sunday at 1 PM
Please join us for an update on important topics and give the vestry your feedback. Among other things, we will discuss a new option that may be available to us: selling the adjoining parcel of woods. Topics will include:

  • Financial snapshot
  • Offer to buy land is being extended to the vestry: pros and cons
  • Supporting ministries with reduced number of employees
  • What we can do now in-person and forecast of in-person worship and other activities in future
We encourage everyone to attend via Zoom and give your input so each person can be seen and heard. If you can't Zoom, reach out to staff, and we'll figure out how to get you involved. It's an opportunity to come together and work together to cooperate in God's work. | Find the link in Realm Events.

Watch: Video Witness from 17-year old Ella Williams
"Growing up at CCE, I've always been encouraged to be the heart and hands of God in the community," says Ella. Your support of Christ Church enables missions, formation, and worship ministries that grow disciples of all ages. Thank you for giving!
New Candle Fundraiser helps CCE and brings the Light of Christ to our homes!
Lighting a candle has long been a spiritual practice. We light a candle as a prayer of intention; to banish the darkness; to illuminate our souls. Now you can purchase candles to light in your own home and to give as gifts to others.

Each unscented candle is contained in an 8-oz. glass jar, handcrafted with pride by Heritage candle company in the USA, and bears our personalized label proclaiming: May the Light of Christ Shine Upon You. Proceeds will go toward our general fund, enabling ministries that reach people in our neighborhoods and around the world. Consider purchasing a candle for yourself, as a gift for friends, or to donate to our pastoral care ministries.
Delivery Volunteers needed for special project
How we gather for worship during Lent and Holy week is so different that in year's past. As a special initiative, Christ Church is hoping to deliver palm crosses to each member household prior to Palm Sunday, and delivery drivers are needed. Please sign up below if you are willing to drive to at least 10 homes and leave a door hanger with a thoughtful, pre-printed note from the church attached to a dried palm shaped as a cross. Every attempt possible will be made to have the 10 homes grouped close together. This would be a great family activity for adults and kids of all ages. By signing up, you would be committing to picking up the bags/crosses from the church starting 3/13 and delivering them by 3/21. We're hoping to bring a little added joy during this season of Lent when we can't be together in person.
Email? Alerts? Control the dings! Set your notification preferences in Realm to receive communications YOUR way
Realm is our church database and online community. We use Realm to manage small groups, facilitate giving and pledging, schedule events, and communicate important news.

Clergy, staff, and lay leaders post news and events every day. Please take a moment to set your communications preferences so you can get alerts for things important to you, enable the Daily Email Digest to simplify your inbox, and silence the noise for things that don't interest you right now.
Our Campus is Open to You
While we are not currently gathering in-person, we hope you know that the church is always open to you. Stroll around campus, pray in the sanctuary, sit in the memorial garden walk the labyrinth. We welcome you! The side door to our worship building (near the piano) is unlocked during the day and evening hours. (Note: several support groups meet regularly in the sanctuary: click here for a schedule.)
Dinner and Lunch Donations needed for CARITAS Women's Shelters

A few more contributors are needed for our Daily Lenten Devotional
Online | Daily through Lent

Lent is a season of forty days, not counting Sundays, which begins on Ash Wednesday and ends on Holy Saturday. Let's journey together in a special way this year. Christ Church is providing a short reflection for our community each day of Lent and contributors are needed! Please consider signing up to share a short reflection. It's easy. It can be a few written sentences, a song or poem, a video you've recorded -- anything goes.
