Seeking to improve literacy outcomes? Our experts can help!

Through our Targeted Technical Assistance (TA) program, our team of literacy experts provides free, hands-on consulting and training to help schools, districts, and community organizations implement evidence-based practices for students with literacy-related disabilities, including dyslexia. Support often includes customized training, resource development, meeting facilitation, refining intervention systems, and more.

TA in Action: Selected Projects

For two years, we've partnered with the Connecticut State Department of Education (CSDE) on several initiatives, including developing educator competencies for structured literacy with an accompanying implementation handbook, defining EPP compliance with audit procedures for dyslexia-related legislation, creating a comprehensive state literacy plan, and more.

Our partnership with the Massachusetts DESE led to the launch of the Massachusetts Literacy Institute to increase organizational capacity and support the tools, training, and framework needed to implement evidence-based literacy instruction K-5 for fluent word reading and language comprehension within a Multi-Tiered System of Support for Reading (MTSS-R).

We equipped four Parent Training and Information Centers (PTIs) to deliver effective training by developing a series of four on-demand interactive tutorials to empower families to take active roles in their children’s literacy journey. Facilitator guides were also created with step-by-step directions to deliver the content effectively in workshops, training sessions, and other settings.
