A Note from Troy Kastrup, CEO
Something great is coming ...
Great things will happen post COVID everywhere. Mark Cuban said that we are truly going to see the best of America after the coronavirus. Queen Elizabeth weighed in “…in years to come, everyone will take pride in how they responded to this challenge.”
You are on the front line of this battle. When done, you are going to be on the winning side of the battle. Some of you are taking care of patients, some are taking care of those who take care of patients, all of you will be on the winning side.
Have you connected with someone you haven’t in a long time during this time? I have, and that was great. I’m not sure who appreciates it more, the one reaching out or the one receiving. That’s contagious.
Your mental, physical and spiritual health precipitate your ability to take care of 20 or more others per day. You have an exponential impact on society. Every day in the ER, in the clinic, in the halls, you tell someone if they change some activity, start a new habit, and stop something they will be great! Now it’s your turn. When we get to that side, consider:
- What great things did you learn you were capable of during this moment in time?
- What great things will you keep doing?
- What did you stop doing that was OK to stop?
You have a great calling! You provide empathy, healing and support for many. Take note of how you do that while taking care of you. Then be ready for the great things that are coming.
Take care of yourself!
