Trail News
Warm, cold, no snow, lots of snow! Wow! It might seem like Mother Nature is going through menopause with the fluctuating conditions that we have seen over the past couple of weeks! ;) Experienced skiers are better at judging snow conditions and which technique to use (classic or skate) on any given day. Newbies and recreational skiers are advised to monitor to trail conditions closely and heed posted warnings, especially when classic tracks are icy. Hopefully conditions will settle down now that we are into January?!? Have fun & be safe!
Wapiti Nordic Race Team
The Race Team has been busy training despite the Prince George race being cancelled due to poor snow. Keep your eyes peeled for the new Wapiti Race Challenge Series in 2019 - next race is Sun, Jan 27th! And it's never too late to join us - we have 3 spots still available and only started our season Jan 3rd. Full details on all race team activities here

Buy & Sell page on website
Did you know that we have a Buy & Sell page on our new website? It's a great way to repurpose old gear or pick up some gently used equipment, especially if you are starting out. Simply submit a photo and some basic info - no fee to post. Check it out here!
Now that the snow is flying, our trails are closed to dog walking. However, skiers are permitted to bring their pets on the designated " dog trails" that are part of the north trail network (North Blue, Wolf and part of Centre Blue). Sorry, dogs are not permitted on the multi use trails.
Club Governance
A complete list of our monthly Board meeting Minutes are available in the Lodge (hard copy) or on the dedicated page on our website. lf you would like to contact our Board or volunteer at the Club in some capacity please email us.
Monthly Member Survey
Check out this month's question here > Do you think a WNSC Membership offers good value? Results from the December 2018 survey question: Should there be wifi at the Lodge? 36% said Yes, plus a weather cam; 14% said Yes, for general use; 50% said No, fine without it. So it looks like an even split on those who want it and those that don't. Hmm! Stay tuned & keep involved in the process!
