Dear brothers and sisters in our Lord Jesus, part of the growing repentance remnant, cleansing as His Bride, getting ready for His soon return as our Bridegroom-----
Intercession is a gift from God. And today is a vital time to intercede for Israel as they are under surprise attack from Hamas. Here is one account:
I am here in a bomb shelter in Jerusalem.
In the last several hours, hundreds and potentially thousands of rockets have been fired into Israel from the Hamas terror organization in Gaza.
In addition, there are unconfirmed reports that Hamas commandos have infiltrated some of the southern border towns of Israel and are shooting civilians and taking hostages.
Prime Minister Netanyahu has officially declared, "We are at War, and we will win." The Israeli Defense Forces have launched "Operation Iron Sword" to respond to this surprise attack and incursion into Israel.
Here in Jerusalem, my sons and I are going back and forth to the bomb shelter each time the sirens go off. The streets are basically deserted and empty, with the exception of police and ambulances.
Similar to the Yom Kippur War of 1973, the enemies of Israel planned this attack for a holiday in Israel, the holiday of Simchat Torah, which is the celebration of God’s Word that happens the day after the Feast of Tabernacles. They sought to take advantage of the holiday to try to surprise attack.
Yet, we know that “Behold, He who keeps Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.” (Psalm 121:4)
Just a week ago, we joined together with you and with tens of millions from around the world as we prayed from Jerusalem for God’s peace in His Holy City and in the land of Israel.
This is “WHY” we must stand as Watchmen on the Wall.
And here is another account:
Thank you for praying for Israel as we are now at war. During worship at Kehilat HaCarmel this morning, I had a vision of an Israeli family near Gaza invaded by Hamas, so I cried out, "Hand of G-d, Hand of G-d!"
Twenty minutes later the leaders announced that terrorists invaded and were holding a family of believers hostage; upon encouragement, the whole Kehila declared, "Hand of G-d, Hand of G-d!" We just heard that Special Forces arrived to free this family from captivity, but some of their children's friends were kidnapped!
It's been confirmed that Hamas terrorists launched a surprise attack of over 2200 rockets from Gaza into Israel today, infiltrated our borders in several places, brazenly walked down the streets of Sderot, firing weapons at Israelis. They've killed and kidnapped many Israeli soldiers and citizens, even a child, carrying them into Gaza. And they're holding many Israelis as prisoners of war. As casualties are mounting, the IDF has called up reserves and Bibi has declared war.
Meanwhile a US government official urged Israel to "refrain from violence and retaliatory attacks."
Seriously?
So far we're OK in the North, but I heard Adonai say that this is just a smokescreen for what's coming next. So thank you for your love and keep praying, "Hand of G-d, Hand of G-d." At least we have some good news regarding the open hearts of many Israelis during our recent Sukkot outreach...
The Living God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob "is able to save to the uttermost those who come to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them." ( Hebrews 7: 25).
And the Holy Spirit makes intercession for us:
" But if we hope for what we do not see, we eagerly wait for it with perserverance . Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groaning which cannot be uttered."
Let's Pray: Almighty God this is Your Land and Your Chosen People. May its leaders have Your Wisdom in defeating this attack. Please protect God’s wisdom for Israel’s leaders. Pray for God’s protection for those who are protecting and defending Israel. Pray for protection for the citizens of Israel from violence and destruction.
