Virtual Open House - Modification to the Adopted Official Plan
Wednesday, Sept. 16, 2020
7 p.m. to 8 p.m.

This Open House will provide you with the opportunity to learn more and ask questions about the recommended policy modifications to the Adopted Official Plan. The meeting will include a short presentation by city staff followed by a Q&A session.

Community Planning, Regulation and Mobility Committee Meeting: Official Plan - Recommended Modications
Wednesday, Sept. 30, 2020
9:30 a.m. and reconvening at 6:30 p.m.

City staff will present the recommended policy modifications to the Community Planning, Regulation, and Mobility Committee of City Council through two reports and presentations:

  • Report PL-16-20: Taking a Closer Look at the Downtown: Recommended Modifications to the Adopted Official Plan
  • Report PL-18-20: Recommended Modifications to Adopted Official Plan Policies for Neighbourhood Centres and for Mixed Use Nodes and Intensification Corridors

This meeting will be web live-casted and viewable through accessing the city's Calendar. You are welcome to delegate at this meeting and/or submit written comments.
Pre-Application Public Consultation Meeting
1134 & 1167 Plains Road East
Thursday, Oct. 1, 2020
7 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Effective Jan. 1, 2020, new development applications requesting an OP Amendment, Rezoning, Subdivision, Site Plan or Minor Variance and Consent are required to follow the pre-consultation process prior to submitting a formal development application.
Proposal:
  • Two 20 and 25-storey residential towers and podium at 1134 Plains Road East with 426 units
  • Two 30 and 35-storey residential towers and podium at 1167 Plains Road East with 733 units

Meeting format includes a city staff overview of the development application review process, an overview of the proposal by the Molinaro Group, followed by the opportunity for you to ask questions and share any concerns.

No application has been received and no decision has been made by the City. Public comments may be directed to the applicant at this time. Once a complete application has been received the public will be notified and comment will be received by city staff.

The Virtual Pre-Application Community Meeting will take place on Thursday, Oct. 1, 2020 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Proposal:
  • Lot A: Two 25-storey residential mixed-use towers and podium with 426 units and 420 sq.m. of retail space at grade
  • Lot B: One 25-storey residential mixed-use and podium with 316 units, 405 sq.m. of retail space at grade and 7 separate townhouse units
  • Lot C: Six-storey residential mixed use building with 108 units and 997 sq.m. of retail space at grade.
Meeting format includes a city staff overview of the development application review process, an overview of the proposal by the Molinaro Group, followed by the opportunity for you to ask questions and share any concerns.

No application has been received and no decision has been made by the City. Public comments may be directed to the applicant at this time. Once a complete application has been received the public will be notified and comment will be received by city staff.
