Councillor's Message

Dear  neighbours,

Tis the season to be jolly!

As we prepare to say good bye to 2019 and welcome 2020, I would like to extend my best wishes to all the residents.

I will continue to work hard for the residents of Ward 8 and if there is anything I can assist with, please do not hesitate to contact my office or send me an email.

Wishing you and yours a very Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!

Ringing in the New Year

Ring in 2020 with 30,000 of your closest friends.
The New Year's Eve event will feature a DJ Skate Party, live performers on the main stage, followed by a countdown to a spectacular fireworks show to ring in the new year.
Please note that the fireworks are weather dependant. If wind speeds are high, it may be unsafe to launch fireworks. The City will continue to monitor conditions and update through social media channels.
Everyone attending the event is advised to dress appropriately for the weather; cover all extremities, monitor yourself and others for signs of cold stress, and keep active when outdoors, if possible.

On Street Parking

It is difficult to clear streets with parked vehicles on them. Residents can help by removing parked cars when it is snowing and immediately afterwards so that our trucks can access the street. A year-round parking restriction is in effect from 2:00 a.m. to 6:00 a.m.

During snow clearing, temporary parking permits will not be issued and current ones will be suspended.

To find out if temporary parking requests have been suspended follow us on Twitter  or  call 311 (905-615-4311 if outside city limits).
