Update on COVID-19 vaccine roll-out & clinic locations in Mississauga

Planning is well underway for the mass vaccination system in the Region of Peel with two locations up and running and administering the vaccine and more locations coming soon.

Together with health system and community partners, the Region of Peel has successfully opened two vaccination clinic locations and is administering COVID-19 vaccinations to individuals in Phase 1 of the Government of Ontario’s prioritization framework. This is in addition to vaccine administration happening through hospital sites in Peel.

An initial introduction of vaccinations for residents 80+ in Peel was announced at Regional Council, with limited doses and appointments opening up soon, and more to come as vaccine availability increases.

  • Information on how to book and location information will be available on the Region of Peel website and social media platforms.

  • As more vaccines begin to arrive, the number of vaccines administered to this group and others will increase.

Community vaccination clinics
To meet the demand of larger population groups once vaccines arrive, clinic locations are preparing to open across Peel:

Clinic Location
  • University of Toronto-Mississauga /Trillium Health at Recreation, Athletics & Wellness Centre
  • Paramount Field House, Mississauga
  • International Centre, Mississauga
*All sites plan to operate 7 days a week.

These sites were chosen in consultation with community and municipal partners to allow residents to have a wide selection of locations at which to receive their vaccine when the time comes, across the Region of Peel. Additional options coming this spring will include drive-through, mobile “on-site” clinics, primary care and pharmacy locations. The locations are scalable and flexible in their use.

Knowing when you will receive the vaccine
Broad communication on who will be vaccinated next, clinic dates and locations as well as options for making an appointment will be shared in different languages through a variety of ways, including the Region of Peel’s website, social media platforms and many print and digital channels.

Trillium Health Partners (THP) has just launched a COVID-19 vaccine online pre-registration form for 80+ year olds.

The form is now live on THP website and will be posted on THP social media channels.

Residents can pre-register for a vaccination and will be called by the clinic as appointments become available.
