The City of Mississauga is seeking public feedback on proposed changes to its Public and Private Tree By-laws. Changes are required as the existing tree by-laws no longer meet urban forestry standards. Over the last decade, the City has been making an effort to preserve, enhance and protect trees. Updates will help enhance the protection and safety of all trees in Mississauga on both public and private property.

The public is encouraged to share their input about the proposed changes in the following ways:

The City of Mississauga is updating its off-street parking regulations under the Zoning By-law.

The City will host a virtual community and stakeholder meeting to get feedback on the proposed directions included in the City’s Parking Regulation Study.

Safe City Mississauga has launched a new discussion channel on their new Crime Prevention Management System for Neighbourhood Watch members.

Current and new operators of short-term accommodation (STA) rental properties can now obtain their licence online. As of January 19, 2021, the Short-Term Accommodation By-law requires all STA operators to legally license with the City. The licensing requirement applies to anyone renting out all or part of their home for 30 consecutive days or less.

Region of Peel Water/Waster Long-term Financial Plan Online Engagement
 
The Region of Peel has launched the first phase of public engagement for their Water/Wastewater Services Long-Term Financial Plan. The feedback received through this engagement will help inform options for a new rate structure. Residents can provide their initial feedback at peelregion.ca/fp. The online survey tool will be available from July 2 to October 8.  
CFUW Mississauga is holding a “Welcome Back” virtual meeting on Monday, September 13 at 7:30 p.m.

The feeding of wild animals and birds can become habit forming making them dependent on a food source or unwilling to forage naturally which can lead to illness, disease or injury.


Please remember that yard waste is now only picked up by-weekly, on your recycle day.

Our Road Safety Committee, has a new design for our Slow Down road signs.
 
These Slow Down lawn signs are available to residents that would like to request one. Residents can call into 3-1-1, or 905-615-4311 (outside of City limits), to request that a sign be dropped off to their residence.
All police driving complaints are required to be reported through the Peel Regional Police Road Watch avenue. This will assist PRP to better serve everyone.
