Community Vaccine Clinic
for Children 12-18 Years Old -
Watch for Link on Wednesday
Dear Neighbors:

As you may know, the Food and Drug Administration is considering extending the emergency use authorization of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine for use in children aged 12-15 years. CDC approval is also likely by Wednesday of this week. We are excited by this next step in combatting COVID-19 and believe it improves our ability to keep children safe. Providing COVID-19 vaccination for our youth will also allow them to enjoy summer activities with added safety and tranquility.

We are proud to announce that the 43rd Ward, Francis W. Parker School and Instavaxx will be partnering throughout the summer to vaccinate Chicago children aged 12 -18 years. This partnership will help any eligible Chicago child so that they might better enjoy the summer, and make school a safer, healthier, and happier space for all.

If approval is granted as we anticipate, the first event will be held this SATURDAY, May 15 and SUNDAY, May 16 between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. at the Francis W. Parker School, 2233 N. Clark Street. The schedule of future events will be posted soon.

Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis. Once appointment slots for the initial dates are filled, a wait list will be opened. Please read all the details below to register for an appointment.

Pending approval, the appointment portal will be open on Wednesday, May 12 at a time to be announced. The link will be posted in a newsletter on Wednesday.

Please read over the following event details carefully:

  • This event is only for Chicago residents aged 12 to 18 years of age.
  • Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian if under 18.
  • For the first event, participants will receive the first dose of the two-dose Pfizer Vaccine, and must be able to return on Saturday June 5 or Sunday June 6 for the second dose.
  •  For all dates, appointments for the second dose will be scheduled three weeks after the first dose on the same time and day of the week of the initial appointment.
  • Masks are mandatory. Temperature checks will be done prior to entry.
  • If you are sick, please stay home.
  • Plan for your appointment to take one (1) hour from start to finish.
