Volunteer Opportunities
We hope you will consider volunteering for at least one committee or event.  Thank you for making Ward PTA and our school great!

Dear Ward Community,

As parent leaders of the PTA, we feel it is important to write you during this difficult and soul-searching time facing our district. In the past weeks, our city has suffered acts of violence impacting our students, including the loss of a young life and another life irreparably changed.

There are many questions being asked and answers being sought so that our students and faculty can return to a safe, nurturing scholastic environment.  Your PTA through the PTAC is in contact with the Board of Education, Principal Richardson, and Superintendent, Dr. Osborne.  We are seeking short-term and long-term solutions to the underlying problems challenging our students, families and schools. New Rochelle is blessed with a wonderful network of community-based organizations, and we are also working with them to see if we can help find areas of collaboration.

T onight , Tuesday January 23rd, the city is hosting a safety forum at the New Rochelle High School Whitney Auditorium at 7:00pm.

Superintendent Dr. Osborne, School Board President Rachel Relkin and Mayor Noam Bramson are each expected to speak and there will also be time for public comment.

To those of you who volunteer with our PTA, thank you. Ward is open to all in our community and we encourage you to join our PTA, attend meetings, and to be the change you want to see in our schools. We have so many strengths and unique gifts as a school and city and we will find a healing path forward, together, while we take any steps that we can to ensure that something like this does not happen again.

You may also email questions and concerns to us at  wardptapresident@gmail.com.
We may not have immediate answers, but you will receive a response.
