Do Increased Expectations Lead to Greater Customer Dissatisfaction?
Who waits for anything anymore? Today, a Netflix subscriber has access to thousands of movies that he can “Watch Instantly”. Anyone with an e-reader or tablet device can download a best selling book and start reading it within seconds. In ten major U. S. metropolitan areas, consumers can order any of tens of thousands of items for same day delivery, using Amazon.com’s “Local Express Delivery” service.

Success Stories
“Your goal is to maximize your net profit. You can’t do that by buying a large quantity of a product to get a lower unit cost to fulfill demand for a couple of pieces. The carrying cost of the remaining amount of the item usually far exceeds the large quantity by discount.”

When you need far less than what a vendor is willing to sell you, look to an on-line marketplace like Warehouse Two. Probably somewhere there is someone who bought a large quantity of an item who would love to sell you some at a decent price.” - Jon Schreibfeder, Effective Inventory Management
Featured Feature: BARGAIN HUNT
Replenish your inventory with stock purchased at below distributor standard cost. It's easy, with BARGAIN HUNT. Upload a "shopping list" of your most active items, along with a threshold unit cost you're willing to pay. (For example, 20% below your cost when purchased from your primary supplier.)  BARGAIN HUNT will identify every instance in which another WarehouseTWO member is offering one or more items on your "shopping list" at or below your threshold cost. Upload a file; save money. Refer to our BARGAIN HUNT tutorial PDF for details. Or register for our October 17th (1:00pm EDT) thirty-minute training webinar on how to perform a BARGAIN HUNT.
Upcoming Training
Our next round of four different training webinars is scheduled for Wednesday, October 20th and Thursday, October 21st, 2021. Click here for session syllabuses and for links to register for any of these webinars. Space is limited, so register early!
Distribution Quip of the Month

"Floating Rem"

If you're from the hose industry, you probably have a lot of these in your warehouse.

Got a favorite work-related quip? Or a snippet of wisdom applicable to the world of wholesale-distribution? Share it with us.
WarehouseTWO Tip of the Month
Clean up your part number database. Tackle this one supplier at a time. The goal should be to have consistent part number formatting and description content throughout a supplier’s item database. Have only one person work on a selected supplier’s item database. That way, the review and clean up will be consistent for all items sold by that supplier. Create standards documents that define how each supplier’s part numbers should be entered into your ERP system.  Train your employees on these standards. The manufacturer's EXACT part number should be YOUR part number. Read why
Referral Rewards Program
The easiest way to get more value from your WarehouseTWO account is to increase participation by other distributors and manufacturers. Over the years, many of you have been loyal "evangelists", recommending WarehouseTWO to peer distributors, to manufacturers and to associations and marketing groups.

We want to encourage and compensate you for the results of your efforts. To learn more about our "WarehouseTWO Referral Rewards" program, and how you and your company can benefit, click here.

Words that Confuse us at WarehouseTWO
Comprise: consist of, be made up of

Compose: write or create

These are two of the most commonly misused words in the English language. Comprise means to include; compose means to make up.

It all comes down to parts versus the whole. When you use comprise, you put the whole first: “A soccer game comprises (includes) two halves.” When you use compose, you put the pieces first: “Fifty states compose (make up) the United States of America.”
An Explanation of Inventory-Sharing Communities at WarehouseTWO
WarehouseTWO's system of inventory-sharing "communities" serves a unique purpose in enabling "inventory-sharing" among peer wholesalers. Understanding and leveraging this system can enhance the value of one's WarehouseTWO membership.
