Cornell Cooperative Extension of Suffolk County would like to wish you and your loved ones a holiday season full of moments of warmth, love, and happiness. May the coming year bring you happiness and joy.
Join us: Virtual Shellabration 2020, December 5th through 31st!
Shellabration is an annual culinary celebration that showcases local shellfish and benefits Cornell Cooperative Extension Marine Program. This year we're going virtual and pivoting to use this event as not just a fundraiser for our SPAT Program and Back to the Bays Initiative, but as a platform to help promote the oyster growing community and educate the public about the importance of both our shellfish restoration efforts and the local oyster industry. URGENT: Family Health & Wellness needs your help
We all have felt the economic and social impact that the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic has caused. Economic shortfalls are being felt across Suffolk County, and our Family Health and Wellness department has received a 100% cut in funding for 2021. What does that mean for Suffolk County?
Our educators will no longer offer any diabetes support to health centers patients.
8000 Suffolk County families, childcare staff, family workers, librarians, and teachers will no longer receive FHW programming.
If you are able, please consider a donation to the funding campaign to help save these vital resources. If you cannot make a financial contribution, please consider sharing with a friend.

Start your 2021 garden with Winter Seed Sewing
Winter is the time to start seeding, but NOT indoors. Learn how to successfully start seeds OUTSIDE in the winter. No greenhouse needed. Winter sowing techniques outside are easier than the windowsill or with light lamps in the basement. Click here for winter seed sewing workshops throughout December,
