Warming Tree Collects Record Number of Items

Thanks to generous donations from our customers, staff, and Board Members, we were able to collect 1,352 warming items.

Everything we collected was donated to Community Action Team to distribute to members of our community in need.

A special thank you to Healthy Smiles of Scappoose for collecting additional items for distribution.

5 Tips for Reducing Energy Waste

  1. You can save on your heating bill for every degree your thermostat is turned down.
  2. Smart thermostats can help you cut energy waste.
  3. Open curtains or blinds during the day to let the sun's heat in.
  4. Seal air leaks around doors and windows.
  5. If you spend most of your time in one room, use a portable heater in that room and lower your central thermostat.

Help Neighbors Stay Warm with GLOW Donation

You can help families in need during the cold weather this winter. Our GLOW Fund provides emergency bill payment assistance to income-qualified families.

The need for assistance is present all year long, but can be greater during the winter when electric bills are typically higher.

Funds Available for Local Organizations

Local organizations can take advantage of two different programs we offer to help raise funds for their nonprofit or not-for-profit entities.

Our Economic Development Grant is available to local not-for-profit organizations engaged in promoting economic development activities.

Local nonprofit groups seeking to raise funds are invited to apply to participate in our Vehicle Wash Program.

Proper Insulation Can Help with Your Power Bill

Insulation is one of the most important elements of an efficient home.

Making sure you have enough insulation – and that it's properly installed – will help you minimize energy waste and heating and cooling costs.

We offer rebates for upgrading insulation in homes that are heated with electricity.
