WARMING YOUR HEART AT BEYOND
|
|
With so many families in need in our community, we welcome you to warm your heart as well as the hearts of others by participating in any of the holiday giving initiatives that we are pleased to be supporting at Beyond...
Stocking Stuffers
From Wednesday, November 20th to Sunday, December 15th we will be collecting ‘treat like items’ for Christmas stockings that will help the women feel pampered and special.
Hand Knitted Items
The Beyond Knitting Club has been busy creating hand knit and crocheted items for Chrysalis House. Whether you’re joining the group on Monday afternoons or creating something at home, we welcome you to add your finished items to the donation box located outside of the Sky room (under the AED unit) before Monday, December 9th. Feel free to create whatever tickles your fancy: hats, mittens, scarves, cowls, toys, whatever!
Adopt A Family
We have signed up to provide a local family of 5 with a turkey, all the trimmings for a complete holiday meal, along with gifts and treats. The sign up list for requested items and the collection box will be available at Beyond on Wednesday, November 20th. The deadline for contributions is Wednesday, December 11th.
Beyond White Elephant Sale

Beyond will be holding a fun

we are even selling the white elephant!
Along with the elephant, we will have decor items and some older props for sale that we no longer use at the studio. All funds raised will be used towards purchasing extra items for the Chrysalis House and Kanata Food Cupboard holiday initiatives.
We hope you will join in the fun!

No More Excuses: Part 2 of 3
Part 2 of a three-pronged approach to experiencing our potential and moving beyond limitations.
Just as we become what we consume regarding food, we also become the experiences we consume – and that includes who we spend our time with. If we spend our valuable time with people who have a problem for every solution, who gossip, complain, worry and negatively compete and compare, we fill our mind with this type of thinking and express our life through the lens of limited potential and envy. On the other hand, by developing friendships that focus on possibility, curiosity, love, compassion, vision, creativity and solutions, we naturally and mutually strengthen our unique gifts.
#2 Creating Community
A community that gathers for the experience of truth is referred to as satsang. A community that gathers for greed, limitations, jealousy and so forth is called kusang. In simple terms, we can say that satsang is good company and kusang is bad company. ...
