Condolences to the family of life long Warner resident Robert Dean Smith who passed away February 27, 2025, age 91. A celebration of Life will be held at the United Church of Warner on Saturday, March 8 at 11AM with a light luncheon following. Obituary

Last Fall a Warner Beautification Group formed to spruce up public buildings, starting with clean up and Fall plantings at the Highway Dept./Transfer Station sign, Police Station, Fire Station, Town Hall urns and Exit 8 "Welcome to Warner" sign areas. In Dec. the group decorated trees at the Town Hall and the fountain. Plantings were mostly privately funded.

The group would like to expand in 2025 for Summer planting, occasional weeding and weekly watering, Fall Mums, planting more Spring bulbs, and decorative Winter Town Hall greens.  A willingness to have dirty knees and hands is all that's required! Stop by the sign up table on Election Day at the Town Hall or Email kathy.carson50@gmail.com to join the fun. There will be a group meeting later in March.

Residents will be VOTING on March 11 on TWO possible changes:

1. Whether to merge the two jobs of Town Clerk and Tax Collector (when you vote for new officials in 2026). 2. Whether to increase the Selectboard size from 3 to 5 members. The changes would not happen until elections in March 2026. Sample Ballot

At Town Meeting on Wed., March 12, the Town will vote on modifying the "Elderly tax Exemption" to adjust the median home value. It was last adjusted in 2006 when that value was $180K. It is now $428K. Only low income, low-asset seniors qualify, with the % exemption based on age. For more information see Assessing Clerk Elizabeth Labbe.

Pancake Breakfast: The Bradford NH Fire Rescue will be hosting a "free" pancake breakfast at the station March 8, 7:30 - 10 am. Donations accepted.

Warner Maple Weekend:

Pancake Breakfast: March 15 and 16 at United Church of Warner, to benefit the Warner Historical Society and the Church. 7:30-11:00 am. $15, age 7-12 $7. Warner maple syrup.

Six sap houses will be demonstrating how they turn sap into maple syrup and other maple treats: Baker’s Syrup, Courser Farm, Rogers Maple Syrup and Turyn’s Tap’n & Sap’n and What’s Sappenin.  Maps available at the Town Hall, Pillsbury Free Library, MainStreet BookEnds, and at the sap houses. 

Warner Town Hall: Maple tasting - taste and vote! 9 am - 1 pm both Sat. and Sunday.

Maple Weekend T-shirts featuring a historical painting of Flanders' Sugar House, by Charlie Brown and will be available at the Town Hall.

Mt. Kearsarge Indian Museum: Explore how Native Americans first made maple syrup! Snowshoe hike, scavenger hunt, historical displays, and tasty treats like acorn flour pancakes with local maple syrup. The outdoor events are free but regular admission applies to tour the museum. 10 am - 4 pm Saturday.

Pillsbury Free Library: Saturday Story time at 10 am with a craft, and a Library Open House/Social Sat. 10:30—12:30 pm: meet the library Friends, Trustees and Staff and enjoy Maple themed snacks, and hot beverages. See our new tables and chairs!

NH Telephone Museum is seeking a part-time seasonal Receptionist/Tour Guide – 6 hrs/week (Saturdays) May – December, with potential for additional hours and growth.
