Warner Outdoors & Environment

It’s that time of year again! The temps are down, and leaves are piling up… but this year, consider leaf-ing space for wildlife. While it might seem a bit rebellious, wildlife like cardinals, chipmunks, insects, and spotted salamander prefer when you lay off the yard work. Forgoing your autumn routine may also reduce the number of plastic bags sent to your local landfill. More: https://www.fws.gov/story/2019-10/leaf-ing-space-wildlife

If you just can’t get your head around the idea of a leafy lawn (or like us, you love any excuse to be active outside), consider shredding leaves for mulch in your garden beds.

Also, look out for Ticks in teh leaf piles you are raking

Do you have photos of natural disasters and severe weather events occurring from 2019 to 2023? (if uncertain of date it is usually in the photo file information so we can figure that out.) Drought damage, unharvestable hay as well as damage from floods, storms, lightning etc are all welcome.
